Stanislav Péchev has a Ph.D. degree in Solid State Chemistry and Materials Science from the University of Bordeaux. Currently, he is a CNRS research engineer at the Institute of the Condensed Matter of Bordeaux where he is a head of the X-ray Diffraction facility. His activity is dedicated to the instrumental setups and techniques for structural characterization of materials. It includes the crystal structure resolution using single crystal or powder X-ray diffraction, as well as the microstructure characterization. Recently he started working also on the X-ray reflectometry for thin films characterization. Stanislav Péchev is involved in various activities of different French crystallography networks and associations.
